“Our Sealy Posturepedic campaign has experienced tremendous success and we are especially proud of the prestigious recognition from the global advertising industry,” said Jodi Allen, chief marketing officer at Sealy. “We are excited to continue the momentum for all Sealy brands as we develop innovative strategies and campaigns for 2012.”
Sponsored by the American Association of Advertising Agencies, the Jay Chiat Awards are billed as the first global advertising awards to recognize brilliant strategic thinking.
Of the 68 short-listed entries in 10 categories announced earlier this year, there were only 39 medal winners. Other brands sharing the Existing Brand category win with Sealy include Unilever’s Axe “Clean Your Balls”, Puma “For the Joy of Sport”, Procter & Gamble’s Gillette “Women Against Lazy Stubble” and Pepto-Bismol “The Little Pink Bottle that Everybody Thought They Knew” campaigns.
The award-winning Sealy Posturepedic campaign is also being featured as a Google case study. The highly competitive Google AdWords case study page features video content, strategy and results outlining the success of the digital campaign, which leveraged video to drive significant traffic to Sealy.com. Other case studies include the Volvo S60 car launch app and mobile advertising, ShoeDazzle online reach through Google Display Network and Groupon strategic expansion from one city to 43 countries.
